The cheery blooms persist well into autumnand make spectacular cut flowers for an indoor display. The daisy-like flowers are produced from early summer to early fall in shades of orange, red and yellow, adding color to the garden and attracting butterflies.
This low maintenance, hardy perennial is trouble-free and even copes well on poor, dry soils. Perfect for containers or filling gaps at the front of sunny borders. The plant is used as a diuretic, taken to give relief from painful urination. An infusion of the leaves is taken internally, and a poultice applied externally, in the treatment of gout.
