California poppy lemon bush, is a densely packed wildflower that is native to the US and has an elegant light yellow hue. An easy to grow plant that can grow well in poor soil and can tolerate dry conditions, this flower is an excellent choice for the gardeners. It is an ornamental plant and it is used medicinally and in cooking. The plant is easy to establish by seed, as are all poppies, and thrives in full sun locations with highly fertile but well-drained soil. It survives mild winters in its native range, dying completely in colder climates. California poppy is useful as a container plant and also excels in sandy soil. The four petals of the flower generally have a silky texture. The foliage of the plant is shaped like a fern and is greyish green in color. The plant can grow upto 24 to 36 inches after blooming fully and tend to grow a little thin but planting them in a bunch together will give a better view for your gardens.
